Today the world continues to feel deep concern for the situation in the Ukraine. Over and over again the suffering of the Ukrainian people comes to mind. Over and over again I count my own blessings as I sit here, safe in my home.
As you probably know, the sunflower is the national flower of Ukrainia. I completed this work years ago but it sprang to mind as a way to give tribute to Ukrainians. My husband is of Ukrainian descent…his parents were firstborn to Canada; his grandparents spoke no English at all.
May the dire situation in the Ukraine be resolved quickly and peacefully.
