I was recently asked to do a portrait of a rescue dog named Izzy. The owner’s vet thinks she is an Australian Kelpie and she sure looks like it, but maybe with some other breed(s) mixed in. It’s always hard to determine a breed when it comes to rescue dogs. Izzy is getting along in years now…you can kind of tell by her wizened look. Her owner’s favorite colors are teal blue and seafoam so I tried to incorporate those colors in Izzy’s portrait.
